I like the mini, but if it's got the gma vid chip inside it I would not piss on it to put it out if it was on fire. Pm g5 all the way!!!

Hopefully OS X 10.7 will have the same feature as Windows 7 where you can move the window left and and retains half of left screen, flick window up and it takes full screen, flick windows right and it retains half of right screen.

I don't know the name of it or if it has a name but I would love that feature.
Its called snap and it's the most distracting and annoying feature ever. And you cannot even disable it. I would prefer it if Apple thought up of something of their own rather than copy features off the opposition.

Is this a limited run as we had heard before?

If so won't that hurt their sales of the lower two units as people would now see them as the "tard pack." Consumers will wait for Microsoft to release the HDMI version at the $399 price point and at the same time MS would be waiting for consumers to clear out inventory of the mid range so they could intro the new model at a lower price.

And please don't try to argue that consumers wouldn't see the $399 as the "tard pack." Regardless of the fact that it functions just as well, people would realize that for $80 more they could have the HDMI and 120 GB HD, thus rendering the $399 model a poor choice. Even removing HDMI from the picture, they would get the $179 120 GB HD for an upgrade price of $80.

Of course once you get to the point of buying the elite for $479, any consumer sitting on the fence between PS3 and 360 has to really weigh the options. Assuming they wanted wireless, which isn't a stretch of the imagination, there's only a $20 difference between the two. The upside of the 360 is the game library, the upside of the PS3 is BluRay. It just doesn't bode well for MS to make it easier for the consumer to pick the PS3 over the 360.

P.S. Before someone says I'm a PS3 fanboy here is my current next gen setup: 360 premium, wireless, HD-DVD drive.

Yes, the 11" is definitely an awesome notebook.

I'm looking for a 'main machine'.

For the long hours I'm on a computer and the type of work I do the 13" is the sensible choice, you get a noticeable amount of added screen real estate which I appreciate.

But I am sure that Nokia knew a very long time ago that Apple was infringing and did nothing (which is perfectly their right)...and let Apple make billions...then file a lawsuit to cash in.

The iPhone came out in mid 2007. It's not like Apple gives out their schematics and source code, so it could take a while for Nokia to figure out which patents are being used.

(Just as it took Apple several years to figure out which patents to sue HTC over.)

In this case, Nokia fairly quickly started asking Apple to pay royalties for the wireless technologies they were using. It's Apple that has delayed for years.

Think about it...why would Nokia file suit immediately to earn, say, a pesky $5 or $20 million (and give Apple a chance to make the product better) when Nokia can wait years and earn hundreds of millions or billions?

That only makes sense for patent holders that want a one-time payment. Nokia licenses their patents per device, and the GSM/WiFi ones probably can't be gotten around, so it matters less when they sue.

And again, Apple's known about many of these patents for years. They apparently would rather rake in the profits now and pay later.

I truly believe the reason we don't see iLife 07' is because it's being integrated into Leopard.

I think they're missing an opportunity here. There should be a return to the Apple I days where people built their own wooden cases.

Everything burns and is flamable at the right temperature.

From what I've seen of it on cars, carbon fiber is quite susceptible to scratching, and scratches can look very prominent. ., but IMO not a replacement for unibody aluminum.

Err aluminum is susceptible to scratching.. have you not notice. I'm sure if Apple decides to use carbon fiber it will be well though out product. I'm looking forward this.

As for your question: The last time I jumped off the hood of a moving car was last summer. Of course it wasn't going very fast and definitely wasn't on the free way.

The risk of infection is enough to dissuade me from getting piercings. Regardless of how well instruments are kept clean, you really can't judge a business for cleanliness by looking at staff or locale. Unless you bring your own bleach and clean the tools yourself, I won't risk it.

So Steve is finally doing something like giving a biography the OK. Must be thinking about his legacy.
