+1. I don't think they meant vehicle traffic, they meant network traffic.
what would "offering users a traffic service" mean? im a user. the only thing "traffic service" could mean to me is car traffic.
clip art train picturesI have a feeling iLife 07 will be included with Leopard. If they are indeed waiting to ship them together it would really be horrible to wait until say April and then turn around and expect people to buy iLife 08 in 8 months.
My gut feeling is iLife 07 will be a part of Leopard and then back to the normal releases after.

He couldn't wait to get home to take the picture? Seriously. Put the stuff down and drive. He deserves a ticket.
It looks like he's in a traffic jam to me. If the traffic isn't moving, why not take pics of your iPhone 4?

It's going so slow, i'm 46 minutes through it but it has timed out a million times.
I wonder how many people are watching this keynote right now...
Train track Stock Photo StockThe Mac Pro is something that I have been waiting for since 4 years ago when I bought my first mac. I couldnt wait to upgrade and when I heard about the new intel desktop I couldnt wait. To celebrate, i introduce to you...

Funny how it comes and goes, right?
Train Tracks to NowhereWow, must be a slow news/rumor day.
Refuting rumors that were 90% impossible to be true.
This just in, the rumor the iPad 3 will have a back screen as well as a front are being refuted by the manufacturers.
Its simply not true!
Haha, that would be a pretty cool rumour though

But the damn site is all voluntary, no real authority. People could change something on less looked at articles and nobody'd no the difference! My sister's professors do not allow their students to you Wikipedia! Just because something's longer doesn't mean it's bettter! If you've ever used Encyclopaedia Brittanica or the World Book, the authors are pros on the subject, not just some bum that's obcessed with Google!
Off topic...
Still, I look at Wiki first and then I always double-check with other sources of information.
Wiki might have weakness but there's so much information (and images, sounds, etc.) All at the same address!
stock photo : Train tracksPeople with PCs must not leave their houses much...I've been to coffee shops and airports all over, and it seems about half of the laptops I see are Apple.
There's something strange about coffee shops and Mac laptops. They seem to attract the same crowd. Hanging out in coffee bars toying on a Macbook - it does have a certain, almost clicheed, image, doesn't it?
TrainThat is what I said. Apple not to going to use pure magnesium. Pure magneisum is way to reactive. I said that it be some alloy. Magnesium alloys are good but people here are acting like apple going to use pure magnesuim and no one is stupid enough to use that. If they are they deserverd to be fired. Pure magnesuim is to reactive. An alloy on the other had is good.
Exactly. Apple already has experience with magnesium alloy, that's what the iBook's framework was made from.
Only jewlers make things out of pure metals, everything else is some kind of alloy.

Yeah - I'm glad Apple thinks education is the issue. After all - their education on Antennae did a world of good
it did. people stopped freaking out, and nobody's complained since... total non issue.
ifan train tracks,Could it be that he has to work for everything he has, but illegal immigrants get everything gratis, while their case awaits 'adjudication'?
Same thing happens here, in the frozen tundra.
I don't think the U.S. is even in the same ball-park, in this regard.
John explains it perfect, it's pretty much this. Like I said, I have no problem with people who legally enter this country, and pay taxes, etc. I also fell the same way about people who were born here in the UK, and decide not to work and claim money from the government. Yes we give people money not to work. Even if they have nothing wrong with them. I don't mind giving money to people who can't find a job, but recently it was exposed that 800,000 people are able to work, yet choose not to, because they don't want to work, and we pay them for this! But in all fairness Tories ( the government ) are going to change this soon.
Picture+of+train+trackYep, i agree with the sentiments above. Far, far too much money being asked for. I've been a GQ subscriber for years. I pay maybe 20 bucks for an annual subscription. Why would I pay $3-4 an issue, especially when there are no additional features? Its literally just a PDF of the magazine. Not worth it guys. Want us to get iPad magazines? Make it cheaper, or justify the additional price with content!
clip art train picturesso if you computer crashes you left with nothing.. again why they should discount this.
This isn't like iTunes or those other similar services. Once you buy something on Steam, unless you lose your account somehow then you have that game forever. You can download it on as many computers as you like.
It's the bee's knees of digital distribution.
To all those asking if the game will run on your system; I play on medium settings on a 5 year old iMac and I'm getting good (30+ fps) performance under Windows. It's very well built.

I think it's an extremely powerful feature, assuming external peripherals will work just fine in conjunction with the switch out pads.
Having hot-swappable modules with a USB keyboard/mouse gives laptops an entirely new appeal. I think this opens a whole new avenue of interest in the 17" laptop due to the large interface potential in a portable unit.
View train photos of modelGordon Moore would probably beg to differ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moore's_law). By the time Merom is out the current Yonah processors should become cheap enough to allow a $100-$200 price drop for a Mac mini.

Interesting...I just wouldn't want Apple to have to resort to using Celeron processors to make their products cheap. My main consideration for buying a Mac was not just the OS, but the fact that I knew I was getting a quality machine that would stand the test of time and not fry like my Vaio desktop did after 2 years...
Funny TrainJust finished it with only a few hiccups.
Was disappointed in following the keynote via MR. Seeing the demos has me a bit excited now.
New iChat features look very cool and I don't chat.
Web Clip is very cool. I see uses for it at work already. Wish I used a Mac full time at work.
Spaces seems to be a very convenient way to get rid of clutter.
New Mail features might get me to finally adopt it and lose Entourage.
Time Machine was very cool.
Spotlight looks to be what we all wanted all along.
Oh well, we'll have to wait until Spring.
Train Track Clip Artso they moved the month ans search to the top...
not as bif an overhall as i was expecting :( but then again, dunno what iwas expecting:rolleyes: ;)
I think its clear that this won't be what the final version will look like, the day/week/month button writing is completely uncentralized, I imagine this is just an interim before they unveil a new type of button design, or maybe more, at MWSF.

I wish Apple would at least go on the record to say "no iLife" or "iLife with leopard" or "iLife soon."
I have some projects lined up and it would be nice to wait for some new themes for iDVD. If I had some sort of idea of when its coming out it would make me feel better about starting or holding off certian projects.
I really like iDVD! I don’t need it often, but it does the job really easily and looks great. I’ve even used it to make looping commercial displays (where the menu style doesn’t matter, I just need to get my video running painlessly).
Maybe DVD burning will just be rolled into iMovie and iPhoto directly. That could work, since few people probably use iDVD alone without starting from iMovie or iPhoto.
Otherwise, it’s back to 3rd party software for that.
I bet desktops will include them for a while, but notebooks will switch to external options. I do a lot of digital media creation, and my USB drives get used for storage soooo much more than the superdrive.
-=|Mgkwho
Maybe so—at least on the low end of notebooks (either the smallest or the cheapest). I thought I’d need the external DVD for my MacBook Air, but three years later I never, ever have! You can even erase your Air’s HS and re-install Mac OS X without an optical drive! I was amazed. You just put the disc in some other computer on your network, and the Air sees it—even if the Air has no OS installed! (But what I can’t make work without an external: key discs for game copy protection. Luckily? my Air is too old to play any of my key-disc games.)
I want a new enclosure AND merom. Somehow fit a DL superdrive in there.
i'd like to see some new enclosures, too. a DL superdrive might be pushing it...
i'm sure there's more to it than a revised spotlight, improved file sync'ing and virtual desktops. this is apple we're talking about. let's get realistic about our expectations while remembering this is a developer's conference and not a consumer product showcase.
Wow, those Digg comments (re the banner photo) have a lot of wasted hopes :D Joysticks? Backlit MacBook non-Pros? Nano playing video? 64-bit image means ALL Macs are now 64-bit? No, none of the above.
All I see NEW there is:
* A black X and Leopard print on the Leopard DVD. Not bad looking.
* Some slogan about making OS X the "dominant platform" maybe? Nice to have something to shoot for ;)
And I see the old tower, which suggests no new case design. (But a collage of products that includes some past or soon-to-be-retired ones isn't 100% impossible at a developer event.)
