Koenigsegg
Well, that was before the new Agera out. Now the previous generation Koenigsegg is suddenly looking a bit outdated. The UK generates Evo magazine - a publication blessed with a garage full of supercars - CCR brought the people in Edo for a little competition ... Improvements.

Koenigsegg Agera R present in Geneva and cause interest, but then did not declare the dynamic performance of the car.
Now the manufacturer of sports supercars give any details of the cars with plug-R in the name.

Most impressive is the acceleration from standstill to 100 mph, which is 2.9 seconds and to 200 mph, which is only 7.5 seconds. Even more impressive is the "exercise"0-200-0 km / h, which the car run for 12.7 seconds.

The engine is a V8 with a volume of 5.0 liters that delivers 1115 hp at 6900 rpm when working with bio fuel E85 (ethanol). For markets where it lacks fuel, Agera R can work with 95 octane gasoline, as its output is 940 hp or 98 octane gasoline when power is 1050 hp.

The maximum speed the car is 420 mph. 2011-Koenigsegg-Agera-R-sideThe Koenigsegg Agera R will make its global debut in 2011 Geneva auto show, it was the Speed Racer-inspired paint scheme and the packing so much power. Koenigsegg Agera R car shown in Geneva is a very special customer.

2011-Koenigsegg-Agera-R-side-viewKoenigsegg Agera R comes equipped with a special roof section featuring an integrated Thule carbonfibre ski-box containing two pairs of Koenigsegg skis. It has some pretty-high quality materials and the Agera R certainly doesn’t disappoint. With a carbon fiber monocoque serving as its skeleton, the Agera R is is equipped with Vortex Generating Rim (VGR) wheels. The design of the spokes generate a turbine effect which help in creating some downforce.

/2011-Koenigsegg-Agera-R-top-frontIt was just a year ago when Koenigsegg debuted the Agera in Geneva packing a twin-turbo 4.7-liter V8 with 910 PS (669 kW / 898 hp) and 1100 Nm (811 lb-ft) of torque. With performance specs such as 0-100 km/h in 3.1 seconds, top speed of 390+ km/h (245+ mph) it certainly lands itself firmly in the hypercar category.

2011-Koenigsegg-Agera-R-top2011 oenigsegg Agera R is “slightly” improved, It was powered by a larger 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing an earth moving 1115 PS of torque. A pretty astonishing figure but one crucial detail in achieving that number is the fuel. Fill it up with 95-octane fuel and the engine’s potential is limited to 940 PS (927 bhp / 691 kW) and 1100 Nm (811 lb-ft) torque while full potential is only unleashed with the use of E85 biofuel.

2011-Koenigsegg-Agera-R-interiorNo performance specs have been released, Koenigsegg is keen to mention the Agera R Special Michelin tires were developed specifically for the Agera R and hold a speed rating of up to 260 mph (419 km/h), the highest-speed-rated tires in the world, according to Koenigsegg.

A roof box from Thule would normally be nothing unusual. The situation is different when the luggage container mounted on a Koenigsegg Agera R. For the super sports car Thule called a "winter car roof" has developed, called Lightning. Presented is the result of the Geneva Motor Show.

The 4.29 meters long and two meters wide Agera R is the evolution of already well powered with 910 hp normal Agera. In the case of the R-version of the V8 twin-turbo petrol engine with five liters of huge 1115 hp is pushed. The maximum torque of 1,200 Nm is reached at 4,100 rpm and is available in a 3300 rpm continuous area. In 2.9 seconds it goes from zero to 100 km / h, after 7.5 seconds and reaches 200 km / after 12.7 seconds the number is 300 on the speedometer. Theoretically, according to Koenigsegg a top speed of 440 km / h is possible, however the Agera models at 375 km / h electronically limited. If desired, this lock for a short period be waived if all conditions match, such as road or tire condition.

The Koenigsegg Agera R will making its global debut in the Geneva Motor Show. The Agera R’s body panels are draped over a carbon fiber monocoque whose rigidity is such that a roof is not required. Hence, it’s a removable panel that can be stowed inside the car. The owner of the example being displayed in Geneva is a skier, so the car is outfitted with a custom carbon fiber roof box developed in

Being "green" doesn't come cheap, but for this price you can get an environment-friendly supercar, however incongruous that may seem. Manufactured by Swedish carmaker Koenigsegg, the CCXR is powered by a modified twin-supercharged V8 engine (same as its predecessor the CCX) converted to use E85 or E100 ethanol fuel as well as standard 98 octane petrol. The engine produces 1,064 bhp and the car has a theoretical top speed of 259 mph. Its chassis incorporates carbon fiber technology.
